An album containing uncaptioned prints, in two sizes approximately 210 x 150 mm and 135 x 85 mm. The captions composed for this catalogue are enclosed in square brackets. The prints in the album illustrate the visit to Freetown by the Duke and Duchess of Connaught on December 15 1910 and the arrival of Governor (Sir) Edward Marsh Merewether in April 1911. The album contains a particularly fine collection of ethnographical studies, mainly of Bundu costumes from the Mende country and a series of group portraits, mainly of religious and educational establishments in the Freetown area.
