Prominent on the shoreline are the headquarters of Siemessen and Co (the second to the right of the large white buildings) the oldest German firm in the Colony, which started business in China in 1846. 841 x 193 mm (three prints joined). Panoramic view of the town of Wu-chen with the river in the foreground. Situated 120 miles west of Canton near the border between Kwangsi and Kwantung Provinces, the town lies on the West River at the mouth of the Kwei River.
