The images are of birds, with the exception of two koala bears, two kangaroos and one opossum. The vast majority are the work of three authors, signed Artah, M. Simpson and Koddi. Haslem’s Creek was a station on the Sydney to Parramatta line which at that time lay 11 miles west of the city. Presumably some funeral train service was offered between the two points.
