Mortuary Station – Haslem’s Creek, 1870
Scope and Contents
270 x 221 mm. A view of the mortuary buildings, with an arch for the railway to proceed through and three men standing on the platform in the foreground. The building is dated 1868. Haslem’s Creek was a station on the Sydney to Parramatta line which at that time lay 11 miles west of the city. Presumably some funeral train service was offered between the two points.
