Rhodesia, about 40% of the total area of the country consists of woodland savannah, and the utilisation and expenditure of the forest resources is one of the major industries. The principal manufactured products from timber are sawn timber, furniture, plywood and veneers'.

Among the scenes and events depicted in the album are the Kampala Exhibition of 1908, views of Government House, Entebbe, the visit of Winston Churchill to Uganda in 1907, sleeping sickness sufferers in Uganda and durbars in Northern Nigeria.
