78 x 104 mm. A view looking along the canal towards the dug-out in which Colonel (later Major General Sir David Bruce and Doctor C. Marshall are seated. Bruce was sent out in charge of the Royal Society Commission into sleeping sickness in Uganda in 1903 and 1908-1910 and made important discoveries about the disease.
