These files include annual reports, accompanied in some cases by explanatory letters, reports of annual general meetings, statements of accounts and other papers.

When the RES Headquarters was rebuilt in 1934-36, gifts of timber for panelling and furnishing were obtained from Empire Governments, companies and individuals. Many were destroyed during the bombing of 1941 and replacement gifts were received. This file coordinates pre and post-war correspondence.

An interesting photographic record of the camp at Diyatalawa entitled 'Illustrations of Life in the Boer Camp' was made by A.W. Andrée, a Colombo photographer, in 1901.
