Scope and Contents Album of prints measuring approximately 275 x 210 mm. or 210 x 265 mm., generally one to a page and each with a typed caption. The photographs show groups and portraits of people in Ceylon, especially Kandy, and views of the outlying country, including surf boats, fishing canoes, railways, Buddhist temples, Burmese and Buddhist priests, a coffee estate, Singalese devil dancers, and plucking, firing and weighing tea.

Ceylon [i.e. Sri Lanka] - Boer Camp from St Leonards, 1910 - 1911

Scope and Contents A view looking out over wooded country. The buildings that are visible bear no resemblance to other photographs of the Boer prisoner-of-war camp (the nearest are certainly tea estate buildings). An interesting photographic record of the camp at Diyatalawa entitled 'Illustrations of Life in the Boer Camp' was made by A.W. Andrée, a Colombo photographer, in 1901.
