548x194mm. (two prints joined). A panoramic view composed of two joined prints, looking northwest across Alfred Park, with the 147 foot tower of the Mayo Memorial Hall visible in the distance. In the foreground, occupying most of the print, is a circular area laid out with lawns, flowerbeds and plants, with the bandstand in the centre.

Contains photographs, 290 x 215 mm., mounted on card in a black leather-bound album with 'Views of Udaipur' and the Udaipur arms on the cover. The photographs have hand-written captions. Subjects comprise a portrait of the Maharana of Udaipur and architectural views in the state.

Gateway to the Bara Imambara, 1902 - 1910
An album, labelled on the spine, containing prints of various sizes. The numbering is sequenced from 1 to 131, but 101 is omitted. 14 of these prints are loose (118-131) , and are kept in a separate envelope in the album. Some of the prints are good quality professional work. Some of the photographs are captioned in ink; in other cases the titles have been derived from duplicate copies in Davies' other Indian album or from other photographs of the same scenes.

Gauhati, Assam, 1983
508 x 394 mm. watercolour. It recreates one of the Assam Company tea store-houses established at Gauhati along the river route to north-east Assam during the 1840s. A government official converses with a company agent, while tea is being loaded onto a steamer in the background.

General Nicholson's Statue, 1908-02
Half-plate. Nicholson Park, Delhi. [General John Nicholson (1821-1857) served his military career in the 27th Bengal Native Infantry and commanded the main storming party in the assault on Delhi on September 14 1857. He was shot through the chest during this encounter, and buried in front of the Kashmir Gate. He was the inspirer of a sect in Hazara who worshipped Nikkul Soyn between between 1848-1858].
