The caption refers to the young girl posed in the act of placing her forehead on the raised foot of the eldest member of the group. The collection sustained flood damage in 1980, the second such fate to befall this collection. Sixteen of the photographs were transferred from an album damaged by flooding in December 1974. Mounts and albums bore the name of K.B. Phadye, 'Photographic artist', Aurangabad. Mr John Wright and his colleagues at the Tropical Products Institute Library assisted in linking photographs...
