View looking north along Rampart Row towards the Floral Fountain and the junction with Hornby Row. Compare with Y3022GG/8. This view is taken a few years earlier, at some time in the late 1890s: immediately opposite the Floral Fountain are the buildings occupied until 1896 by the Cathedral High School. These premises were taken over and enlarged by the Oriental Life Assurance Company and in this print can be seen clad in scaffolding and without the domed roof.
