Queen Mary Indian collection
[Queen Victoria Statue, Bombay], 1890 - 1899
215 x 276 mm. View of the statue by Noble (? presumably Matthew Noble, 1818-1876) standing at the junction of Rampart Row, Esplanade Row and Mayo Road. The statue was the gift of the Gaekwar of Baroda and was unveiled by Lord Northbrook in 1872.

Quelques souvenirs, 1916 - 1930
This album contains 189 photographs, mostly small snapshots, relating to Mesopotamia in 1916, a visit to Malta on the way to India in 1917, and scenes in India during the First World War and after. Douglas retired to France in 1922 and a number of images relate to this period. Many of the Indian photographs show family and friends.

The caption printed on the reverse reads: 'Qutab Minar. Showing the Fallen Top Story [sic] in a corner. Built by Rai Pithora and completed by Qutab Uddin and Altamash in 1220. Height 238 feet'.

A collection of photographs, each 250 x 190 mm, probably dating from the late 19th century. The prints are captioned in pencil on the back and the titles transcribed in the catalogue.

The caption printed on the reverse reads: 'Quwatul Islam Mosque and Iron Pillar, Delhi. This famous pillar was erected by Raja Dhawa in A.D. 319 and the mosque in 1200 A.D. by Qutubuddun Aibak'.
R. Elsy Collection on India and Ceylon [i.e. Sri Lanka]
An album of albumen prints by John Edward Sache, Thomas A. Rust, Nicholas and Co., and W.L.H. Skeen and Co. It was compiled by R. Elsy apparently during a tour in the 1880s through India and Ceylon. It includes pictures of Bombay, Delhi, Agra, Cawnpore, Lucknow, Allahabad, Benares, Calcutta, Madras, Bangalore and Ceylon. The prints' pencil captions have been used as titles; titles composed by the cataloguer have been enclosed in square brackets.
