A Snowdrift, Mount Kosciusko, 1911
A view of two men, with horses and dogs, climbing across a snowfield on the mountain. Mount Kosciusko, at 7,316 ft. is the highest mountain in Australia, and its snows feed several important rivers, among them the Snowy River.

The tangi was a form of ritualized weeping that took place after a death, but also possessed a more general significance: the mourners would be lamenting all who had died, and a form of tangi was also employed by people meeting again after a long absence.

An almost identical viewpoint to Y3082A/13, although taken from a higher position. The towers of the Post Office and Town Hall can be seen right of centre, with the Mount Lofty Ranges encircling the town.
