The war memorial, 1955
130 x 80 mm. This cenotaph is constructed of rock with a steel cement base. It has three plaques which bear the names of the men who lost their lives in the two World Wars. The third plaque is made of bronze with an inscription which reads in part 'In memory of those who gave their lives and were members of the Armed Forces from the Loreburn district'. This cenotaph is situated in a corner of the school yard.
