232 x 179 mm. A view looking over a town square, with a fountain at its centre, towards a dock area. A number of masts of sailing ships are clearly visible as are various horse-drawn carriages and carts. A small crane can also be seen by the dock area indicating this was a trading port. Location unknown although most likely Bridgetown or Speightstown. Photograph by Cooper and Company (stamped in the bottom right-hand corner).

All were collated by and belonged to H.E. Sir Charles O'Brien, KVCO, former Governor of the Seychelles and Barbados. Approximately two-thirds of the photographs relate to O'Brien's life as Governor.
