The album was a Christmas gift to Mr and Mrs Langham-Carter from Mr and Mrs White; this is presumably A.R. White of the Kelantan Survey Department. The flood is briefly described in Langham-Carters Annual Report for Kelantan for 1913: 'In December the Kelantan River rose to an abnormal height, and the greatest flood since 1897 was recorded. The business premises in Kota Bharu [i.e. Baharu] were flooded...

Nos. 4-27, 51 are scenes of the Royal Visit in November 1905, 19-26 being triumphal arches. The other subjects are the Maharajah and his family (1-3), Lallgarh Palace (28-50), Gujner (52-64), the Old Palace (65-82, 85), Bikaner City (83-84, 891-98 and Bikaner forces (89-90).
