This three storey palace was begun by Ghaz-ud-din Haidar (Nawab of Oudh 1814-27) and completed by his son Nasir-ud-din Haidar (reigned 1827-37). It later became the premises of the United Services Club. Beyond it is the smaller Farhat Bakksh Palace, originally the residence of General Claud Martin and later the U.S.C. Library.
