Most of the prints measure 210 mm x 160 mm, though a few are slightly smaller, and all are excellent photographs.Between 1959 and 1965 sixteen states and the British Colony of Aden joined to form the Federation of South Arabia. 280 x 208 mm. Showing western façade of the Court House, a two storey building with a prominent portico containing an entrance stairway. A group of mixed races stands at the base of the Tuscan orders at the front of the building. The court buildings were situated in an area of land bounded by Light Street, Farquhar Street and Pitt Street.

243 x 185 mm. (mounted on card). A view showing the Court house and adjacent offices, a mainly two- storey building (with a further storey above the main entrance section) raised on brick piles with a verandah running the length of the first floor, and with a tiled roof. The court house was completed, after various delays, in 1881, and the photograph was likely taken soon after.

Scope and Contents From the Fonds: Contains loose photographs (mounted on loose cards), 200 x 150 mm (unless otherwise stated) by K.B. Padhye. The collection sustained flood damage in 1980, the second such fate to befall this collection. Sixteen of the photographs were transferred from an album damaged by flooding in December 1974. Mounts and albums bore the name of K.B. Phadye, 'Photographic artist', Aurangabad. Mr John Wright and his colleagues at the Tropical Products Institute Library assisted in linking photographs...
