Material relating to an incident reported by C. E. Collinge during the time he commanded the Armoured Car Unit of the S.S.V.F. While on manoeuvres in Johor in mid-1941, Collinge observed a Japanese army colonel whom he believed might have been a spy. The file contains correspondence between Collinge, Hugh Bryson, W. C. S. Corry and those who might have been able to shed light on the event. It also includes two photographs from Collinge illustrating where the meeting occurred (20 sheets).

The figure on the left is seated on a raised platform to work the bellows which are in the form of two cylinders through which pistons are driven, the air being expelled through two narrow pipes at the bottom.
