Collection of miscellaneous monochrome postcards of scenes in German East Africa (now Tanzania). The cards are issued by Walther Dobbertin, Dar es Salaam and Tanga (76-79, 81-87), C. Vicenti, Dar es Salaam (88, 90), The Standard P. and P. Works, Nairobi and Mombasa (91), the remainder unknown.

Showing a policeman standing beside a street lamp. The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'The late Konor Sir Emmanuel Matekole bought up several dozen street lamps to decorate the streets of Odumasi. They contained kerosene burners but are now no longer used'.
