312 x 256 mm. View from the Strada Reale (Kingsway) looking north along the Strada Vescovo (wrongly captioned 'Strada Vescons' in pencil beneath the print) towards Marsamuscetto Harbour. The street later became Archbishop's Street. In the left foreground in part of Palace Square and a small part of the Main Guard building. The print is signed: 'Robertson and Beato'.

An album, labelled on the spine, containing prints of various sizes. The numbering is sequenced from 1 to 131, but 101 is omitted. 14 of these prints are loose (118-131) , and are kept in a separate envelope in the album. Some of the prints are good quality professional work. Some of the photographs are captioned in ink; in other cases the titles have been derived from duplicate copies in Davies' other Indian album or from other photographs of the same scenes.

Scope and Contents From the File: Contains slides mainly in thick plastic frames marked 'Photopia', made in Germany, dark grey with a red top. The exceptions are numbers 72-75 in Kodachrome cardboard frames which link up with C and numbers 37-38 and 99-103 which are in silver Sytec frames. Some of the frames have brief captions pencilled on them, but these are very hard to read. Others have labels stuck on. A roughly written numbered list was in the original box.
