This is probably for works that JWHM was commissioned to write for the Cambridge Historical Series in 1895 and 1901 and never finished, but some sections may also relate to "A short history of Germany and her colonies" (1914), written by JWHM with Walter Alison Philips, and Arthur William Holland as part of the 11th edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica.

Hitler's Private Office entertainment file, including: list of diplomatic visitors; minutes by Otto Meissner, Hitler’s Chief of Staff and State Secretary of the Presidential Chancellery; guest lists, invitation cards, menus and seating plans for various events, particularly a trade fair. Found by Lunghi in the Reich Chancellery, July 1945.

Correspondence on CS's invitations to the CDU [Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands] European conferences at Hanover [Germany], 1976, and at Kiel, 1979, with correspondents including Margaret Thatcher, Leader of the Conservative Party, apologising for not being able to attend the 1979 conference due to the impending General Election, and Helmut Kohl, Chairman of the CDU. Includes texts of speeches by CS and Thatcher.

Also includes a memorandum of 'Places worth seeing in Mr. Skynner's Tour with my cousin in June 1783', 90 folios. According to a note by John Lee of Hartwell inside the front cover, the writer was Colonel Sir William Lee, and the cousin William Lee Antonie Esq. of Colworth, Bedfordshire. Pp. 89-180 are blank. Inside the front cover: 'Hartwell Library repaired May 1831', in the hand of J. Lee.
