Two reports on sites tested in Europe:
1. 'Preliminary Report on the Climatic Conditions of Eastern Sicily' by M.G. Fracastoro, in Italian, with an English translation.
2. 'Astronomical Station in Southern Europe' by Hans Elsässer, Professor of Astronomy, Heidelberg University, in German, with an English translation. There is also a related letter from Elsässer to Professor Brück, Edinburgh, 8 July 1969.

Copy of Leake’s original notebook detailing his travels in Sicily in 1807-1808, copied by Mr Hamilton [William Richard Hamilton 1777-1859?] (p. 204) in 1839 (dated p. 232).br/>
Leake made autograph revisions in graphite pencil with additional topographical plans and copies of inscriptions. br/>
Presumably, this process of revision was with the aim of publishing the journal for Sicily but that never happened during Leake's lifetime nor since.
