The Hildersham church wall paintings have been cleaned. There were fireworks on Jesus Green (for the so-called Cambridge festival) but Peck missed them. There were morris men dancing at King's, and an invitation to the 'egghouse' for Sunday.

Peck reports that he has written to [G E] P Hornblower, and also comments on a failure (deliberately misspelt 'phalia', a Peckism) of duty. Morris men are converging on Trinity, and more information about the morris men is provided.

Peck reports attendance at the undergraduate classical assembly. He has received a letter from Frank Stubbings at Esseuse. There was morris dancing at Barrington.

Peck writes about 'egg work' on Sunday, and taking his step-goddaughter out to the 'egg-place' (another in a series of cryptic references to eggs in the correspondence). Peck spent time with the Morris Men from Herefordshire in Evesbatch.

Percival Hornblower arrived a week early for the annual morris men meeting. Three new fellows were admitted before luncheon.
