Cambridgeshire Land Assessment Records
Lists of landholders, tithe particulars, poor rates, rate assessments and valuations for the various parts of Cambridgeshire.
In 1856 the Poor Law Guardians in Cambridge resolved upon a survey and valuation of rateable property in the parishes of their union. The survey was carried out by Richard Harwood and John Rolfe Mann. Its findings form MSS.Add.5730-5745. An earlier assessment of land in Cambridgeshire, MSS.Add.5717-5729, was partly the work of Thomas Utton.

The collection comprises correspondence written by Sir Stratford and Lady Canning, and a newspaper clipping about him.
Canon and civil law notebook
Notes on canon and civil law, mostly abridgements of pre-Reformation texts, especially Justinian's Institutes, with references to English statutes up to 1548. It is written in a single hand throughout, in Latin with some English. There is a fragment of a fifteenth-century medical tract on the guards of the volume. There are also ownership inscriptions in pencil, 'John Fowler his booke 1649' and 'William Fowler his booke'. 175 folios.

A collection of stories illustrative of Cambridge life, 54 folios: (fo. 2) list of contents; (fo. 3) text. There are various pen-and-ink sketches by way of illustration, a few on paper gummed to the leaves. Inside the front cover is the bookplate of Catherine Mary Wellings and 'E.P. Wellings 1873'.
