The collection contains G. H. W. Rylands' published and unpublished writings, the scripts of broadcasts, correspondence, and programmes and other papers relating to theatrical productions.

Conditions Governing Access: The majority of the Rylands Papers are readily available to scholars in the Archive Centre. Record consultation is by appointment. Personal letters of living authors may only be consulted with their written permission. Some material is reserved in view of its sensitivity. There is no access to such material for the time being.
