Fos 211-24 are written from the end of the book. The letters are written from Walden. The declamations and orations are headed in the same hand throughout. The hand is presumably that of Henry Rix, headmaster of Walden till 1674. He then took the incumbency of Newport and presumably the headship of the school there, apparently taking some of hie pupils with him. Part of an indenture between Thomas Fytch and Mrs Elizabeth Fytch on the one part and [ ], dated 1634 has been used in the binding.
