Scope and Contents
Correspondents include: Lieutenant-General Sir Sam Hughes, Canadian Minister of Militia and Defence; Clement Davies commenting on LSA's draft memoirs, particularly recalling meetings prior to the resignation of [Arthur] Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister (2); L J Maxse [Editor of the National Review] on subjects including LSA's "The Problem of the Army", biased reporting of a speech by Winston Churchill, Tariff Reform meetings, the bad effect of Arthur Balfour on the Unionist Party, and criticising Richard Haldane as Secretary of State for War (8).
Also includes: annotated extracts from LSA's letters to AFA, 1919-31; recollection by LSA of the inventor Geoffrey Pyke; photographs and illustrations for LSA's "In the Rain and the Sun".
