One archive folder contains coins held in two envelopes dated by Joseph Needham 1972 and Sep. 1981.

The second archive folder contains a Wang Mang period bronze Chinese spade coin, 14-19 A.D. (if genuine). This coin is held in a box labelled by Joseph Needham ‘anc. 中 [character for China] and med. Coins’. The box contains a handwritten note by Joseph Needham with a copy of the inscription on the coin, 1 letter from Raphael Salaman to Joseph Needham dated 1 Oct. 1965 and 1 copy letter from Joseph Needham to Raphael Salaman dated 22 Dec. 1965.
