Scope and Contents

This letter mentions the establishment of the East Asian History of Science Corporation, Inc. (USA). This was an American Trust registered as a non-profit corporation able to transfer money to England. Reference is made to the first minute book, with C. Shillinglaw as chairman, Tim Phillips (Cambridge University Press, New York) as secretary and Bud Salk as treasurer. The letter also mentions support of $25,000 from the Coca-cola Company and Jack and Lillian Berkman. It was proposed that the new building in the grounds of Robinson College would be called Berkman House. Also news of mutual friends, a lecture given in Toledo, visits to museums and laboratories, also a service at Notre Dame University Chapel. Includes a handwritten note about travel plans and an annotated order of service for the Notre Dame liturgy.
