This letter presents questions about the 14th International Congress of the History of Science and impressions of Japan for an article to be published in local newspapers in Japan. Includes a copy of Joseph Needham’s speech given at the concluding conference dinner, with annotations to show how it was used as a reply to Yukio Ichinose’s questions, a portion of the speech which he gave in Chinese, and a portion which he gave in Japanese (with transcriptions in those languages in both Chinese/Japanese and romanisation) and a draft speech by FG [Frank Greenaway].
