Scope and Contents

Joseph Needham made two trips in 1974.
The purpose of the first trip was to receive the Doctor of Letters honorary degree granted by the University of Hong Kong on 29 Apr. 1974.

Hong Kong to London 10 May.

The purpose of the second visit was to attend the 14th International Congress of the History of Science, which was held in Tokyo and Kyoto from 19 Aug. to 27 Aug. 1974. Joseph Needham was the International President.

Bangkok to Hong Kong 28 Jul.
Hong Kong to Osaka 8 Aug.
Tokyo to Hong Kong 2 Sep.
Hong Kong to London 6 Sep.
