Scope and Contents
The documents include a letter from Joseph Needham suggesting that Ho could either work towards a Cambridge Ph.D. or collaborate on 'Science and Civilisation in China'. He explains that 'the two are mutually incompatible, because we have now gone past our astronomical chapters and must concentrate on other work', 6 April 1956; letter from Ho stating that he would rather collaborate on the project than aim for a Cambridge Ph. D., 11 April, 1956.
