Scope and Contents
The documents mostly comprise correspondence with Ho Peng-Yoke, one of the chief collaborators on the 'Science and Civilisation in China project. Ho was based at the University of Malaya in Singapore from 1950 to 1964. This institution changed its name on the 1 January 1962 to become the University of Singapore. (See SCC2/12/37). In 1964, Ho took up the chair of the Department of Chinese at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He remained in Kuala Lumpur until 1973.
