Some of the letters in this file are not addressed to Leishman, though the connections are not known. For example, a letter of 1881 to a Mr Sparks from Robert Locke, addressed from Melbourne Street, Leicester, concerns the application of the former for a post at Hazel Street School, Leicester. Later letters are addressed to Leishman variously in Freiburg, Southampton, University College Southampton, and Glasgow. Correspondents include the Hogarth Press.
