The correspondence catalogued here was presented to the University Library in 1973 by Windham Baldwin (who had succeeded to the Baldwin earldom on the death of his brother in 1958)

Relevant letters from Baldwin to Fry are among the latter's papers, also in the University Library (Add.9710). Young's drafts and proofs were presented by Sir Rupert Hart-Davis in 1969 (Add.7799). Additional material (including letters from Young and Sir Geoffrey Fry, and Baldwin's annotated copy of the biography) will be found in the Windham Baldwin Papers, presented by the present Earl Baldwin of Bewdley in 2004
