The minute books, diaries, accounts and visual material in this collection - Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race records - reflect chiefly on the annual Boat Race against the University of Oxford but also on the normal business of Cambridge University Boat Club.

The gaps in the numbering sequence of OCBR.1-20 reflect the anticipation of further transfers of similar material in due course.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
OCBR.P20/21 were transferred by T.C. Gardner on 16 July 1991; OCBR.V1-51were transferred by Mr T. Gardner on behalf of the Friends of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race on 18 Jan. 1994 and 10 July 1995; OCBR.1-32, were transferred by Dr John Adamson for the CUBC Committee on 9 January 1996. OCBR.33 was presented by Dr Chester White, Darwin College on 9 May 2000; OCBR.V52 by Mr Dick Pryce-Jones, Executive Secretary, CUBC on 22 June 2004; OCBR.1A, 3 (was 2A), 5-6, 8, 10 (was 3A-D, 5-6), 27 (part), 34; P1/1-3, 2-3; V53-60 transferred by Dr John Adamson for the CUBC Committee on 6 Apr. 2006; 20A and V61-3 by Mr Dick Pryce-Jones, Executive Secretary, CUBC, on 5/11/08; V46/2 and V60/2 by the same on 1/12/08; 35 by the same on 21/1/09; 7, 9 by the same on 14/3/14. Records transferred by CUBC are on permanent deposit. OCBR.19 was presented by Tracy Deakin, archivist of St John's College, on 12 Oct. 2018. OCBR.34 was presented by Robert Athol, archivist of Jesus College, on 31 October 2018. OCBR.P4 was presented by Robert Athol, archivist of Jesus College, on 5 Nov. 2018.
