The ring-binder is labelled '1961/62 Private & Confidential Indo-China S.N. Co., Ltd.' and '6. Indo-China S.N. Co., Ltd.', and is divided into seven sections:
1. Miscellaneous: correspondence (including telex and telegrams) between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with related letters and papers, 21 January 1961-28 August 1962.
2. Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, Calcutta: a small set of correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Jardine Henderson Ltd, Calcutta (Agents, Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd), 11 April 1961-31 October 1962.
3. Honours: three letters exchanged between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, 4 September-5 October 1961, regarding obtaining an honour in recognition of the long service of Captain G.I. Lawson, Marine Superintendent. The first letter encloses a statement about Lawson's career, 2 September 1961.
4. New Tonnage: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with enclosed letters and papers, 19 October 1960-9 November 1961.
5. Annual Accounts: correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with related papers, 29 May 1961-18 May 1962, including a booklet of the Director's report and accounts of the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd for the year ended 31 December 1960, drafts of the Chairman's statements for 1960 and 1961, and the profit and loss account and balance sheet of the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd for the year ended 31 December 1961.
6. Shares: correspondence (including telex and telegrams) between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with related papers, 20 December 1961-29 December 1962.
7. Bunker Contract with Shell: correspondence (including telegrams) between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, with related letters and papers, including a few letters from J.K.P. Hadland, Shell Centre, London, to Matheson & Co. Ltd and quarterly statements of bunkers supplied by the Shell Co., 10 January 1961-17 December 1962.
