LONDON AND TOKYO

2. Copies of letters no. P.2 from W.J. Keswick, London, to E.F. Watts, Tokyo, 6 August 1953, and no. 3 from W.E.D. Smith, London, to Watts, Tokyo, 28 August 1953.

The letters are concerned with Société Immobilière.

2. Copies of letters nos P.1-11 from H.D.M. Barton and R. Gordon, Hong Kong, to W.J. Keswick, London, 11 March-12 October 1955.

The subjects covered include the Granada Estate, Shanghai; Jardine Stables - I.L. No. 2553; and No. 2, May Road.

The subjects covered include 25 Mikawa-dai; property at Midoriga-oka; Shoya Land; Société Immobilière; title deeds for the Kobe Office property; and 22 Yamashita-cho, Yokohama.

HONG KONG AND TAIPEI

1. Original letter no. P.1 from B.E. Bolton, Taipei, to H.D.M. Barton, Hong Kong, 8 September 1955, enclosing two inventories of furniture at 36 Chung Sim Lane, Peitou.

2. Copies of letters nos P.1-2 from H.D.M. Barton, Hong Kong, to B.E. Bolton, Tokyo, 1 June 1955 and 13 September 1955.

The subjects covered include work on the Kaohsiung Office and houses at Peitou, including the transfer of the residence from G.D. Raeburn to A.D. Angus.

SHANGHAI AND HANKOW

1. Copies of letters nos HP-2-7, 9, 11 and 14 from W.J. Wu, Hankow, to the Property Department, Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, 1 March-2 September 1954. Nos 1, 10, 12, 13 and 15 have been transferred to other files, but there are sheets listing their contents. No. 8 is missing. The subjects covered include the Changsha property; Godowns H, I, J, K; and the Siangtan property.

2. Sheets listing the contents of letters nos P.1-13 from Shanghai to Hankow, 18 January-7 September 1954, transferred to other files.

TIENTSIN AND HONG KONG

1. Original letters nos P.1-2 from Alex Kidd, Tientsin, to J.H. Keswick, Hong Kong, 15 January 1953 and 10 February 1953.

2. Copies of letters nos P.1-2 from J.H. Keswick, Hong Kong, to Alex Kidd, Tientsin, 26 January 1953 (both letters).

The subjects covered include A.P. Nazer's Peitaiho property and the Waller Estate.

CANTON AND HONG KONG

1. Original letters nos P.1-14 from Conant Lee, Canton, to R. Gordon, Hong Kong, 13 January-11 June 1954. Letter no. P.8 of 11 March 1954 was originally numbered incorrectly as a second no. P.7, but has been corrected subsequently to P.8. Letter no. 10 encloses two photographic copies of Canton Land Bureau Receipts No. 0010 and No. 020 for the title deeds for (respectively) the Tai Chung Hau and Shameen properties of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd.

2. Copies of letters nos 1-9 from R. Gordon, Hong Kong, to Conant Lee, Canton, 21 January-21 June 1954.

The subjects covered include Canton property; fire insurance for Canton properties; Kwangtung Sugar Mills Ltd and the Shameen property; report on the condition of foreigners' properties for the Canton Land Bureau; Tai Chung Hau godown - additional building for living quarters; Tai Chung Hau godown repairs; Tai Chung Hau Godowns E, F and G; Tai Chung Hau godowns - new lease agreement for 1954; and the unfinished contract for the godown and flats at 43 Fook Hing Road, Shameen.
