Scope and Contents

Copies of unnumbered semi-official letters from Jardine Matheson, Nanking, to Jardine Matheson, Shanghai, with enclosed letters and papers, including annual agency reports:

1. Unnumbered semi-official letters from D.R. Mackenzie and C.B. Tweedy to R.M. Austin (mainly) and J.J. Paterson, 10 April-31 October 1929.

2. Nos 1-11, 13-30, 30-78 and 80 from W.D. Fiddes-Wilson, T.S.H. Hoey, J.H. Keswick and D.R. Mackenzie to R.M. Austin, B.D.F. Beith and W.J. Keswick, 30 November 1929-25 March 1936. There are two letters numbered 30, dated 21 August 1931 and 29 September 1931 respectively. There is no letter number 79, but there is an unnumbered letter from W.D. Fiddes-Wilson to W.J. Keswick of 21 February 1936 between nos 78 and 80.

The file also includes a copy of property letter no. P.4 from D.R. Mackenzie to R.M. Austin, 24 September 1930.
