Scope and Contents

Miscellaneous business and personal correspondence of F.A. Pollock while on leave, arranged into alphabetical sections by correspondent. The correspondence is comprised of originals and copies of letters to Pollock, copies of letters from Pollock, and copies of related letters, including correspondence by F.E. Samson on behalf of Pollock. Some of Pollock's letters are addressed c/o Matheson & Co. Ltd, London.

The file includes correspondence with or regarding Balfour, Guthrie & Co. Ltd; the B.B.C.; P.E. Deakin (Matheson & Co. Ltd); Colonel H.B.L. Dowbiggin; George Fortune (Balfour, Guthrie & Co. Ltd, Portland, Oregon); F.R. Publishing Corporation; R. Gordon; Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation; Jardine, Skinner & Co.; Kemsley Press; H.H. Lennox; H.J. Rae (Insurance Department, Matheson & Co. Ltd); Time Inc.; Time & Life Ltd; and Mrs Traynor. There are also some related papers, including a set of food office stamps.

The ring-binder is labelled 'F.A. Pollock. [while on Leave Nov., 1945 to 18/7/46.]' and (in pencil) 'F.A. Pollock. Private'.
