Scope and Contents

Correspondence compiled by B.D.F. Beith during his research work for a new history of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, with some related papers. The correspondence is comprised of original letters to Beith, copies of letters from Beith, and copies of other correspondence, mainly by Matheson & Co. Ltd. The correspondents include C. Barraclough, D.G.M. Bernard, H.R. Fielding, H.V. Henson, W.J. Keswick, D.F. Landale, J.J. Paterson, A.R. Riddle, Andrew Ross, W.E.D. Smith and Captain A.R. Williamson. The folder is labelled 'History of JM & Co' and 'Sundry correspondence'.
