Scope and Contents

Copies of correspondence and papers regarding political issues, particularly in relation to China and Hong Kong. The series includes many documents produced by Campbell-Johnson Ltd, public relations consultants, London, including reports on debates in the United Kingdom Parliament relating to Hong Kong. The early files contain material regarding the civil war and the establishment of the Communist government in China.

Access to the collection is subject to special conditions and is at the discretion of Matheson and Co. Ltd, part of the Jardine Matheson Group.
