Scope and Contents
A small set of correspondence and related papers regarding an approach from Matheson & Co. Ltd to the Russian company V/O Prodintorg offering to facilitate its purchase of tea from the London market, which was rejected. The file includes correspondence between Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, and V/O Prodintorg, Moscow, and A.K. Rothnie Commercial Counsellor, British Embassy, Moscow, c/o Diplomatic Service Administration Office, London, with a memorandum describing V/O Prodintorg and a memorandum of the total number of packages of tea by location sold through the London Tea Auctions, January-December 1964, provided to V/O Prodintorg by Matheson & Co. Ltd. The ring-binder is labelled 'Tea - Sale to Russia File I - May, 1965'.
