Scope and Contents
An original private and confidential letter no. 4 from J.V. Jardine Paterson, Jardine Henderson Ltd, Calcutta, to W.J. Keswick, Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, 9 April 1965, regarding the establishment of the company's new staff pension scheme and enclosing a copy of a Supplementary Trust Deed on behalf of Matheson & Co. Ltd required for the implementation of the scheme, 13 November 1964, and a copy of semi-official letter no. 604 from Keswick to Paterson, 5 May 1965, in reply, enclosing a copy of a certified extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors of Matheson & Co. Ltd, 30 April 1965, providing the necessary authority for the execution of the Supplementary Trust Deed. The ring-binder is labelled 'Pension Scheme - Jardine Henderson Ltd., File I'.
