Correspondence with and regarding W.J. Keswick. Much of the file is comprised of correspondence (including extracts of letters) between B.D.F. Beith, D.G.M. Bernard and J.J. Paterson, Matheson & Co. Ltd, and W.J. Keswick, Jardine Matheson, Shanghai. There is also correspondence of Keswick and Matheson & Co. Ltd with other correspondents, and other letters and papers, including a long report on general trading conditions at various China ports, 1933. The original ring-binder for the documents was labelled 'W. J. Keswick'.
