Custodial History
Many of the numbered files formed part of a set of documents of the British & Chinese Corporation stored at H.M. Consulate-General, Shanghai, in 1955, an inventory of which can be found in J11/1/29/6/1.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
I2/1-8 were part of the original accessions to the Archive. I2/9-16 were received in two accessions from Matheson & Co. Ltd of 2012-2013. I2/17-19 were received in accessions from Matheson & Co. Ltd of 2018.
