Numbered sets of bound documents prepared for the Chinese authorities in advance of the takeover of Ewo Cotton Mills Ltd, with some related correspondence and other papers. The title and contents of each set of papers are given in Chinese on the cover, but the contents are in English (mainly) or Chinese. The pages are numbered in a running sequence across the documents. There are nine sets of papers:

Inventories of plant and machinery, motors, mill gearing, fixtures and fittings, filter and pump installation, accessories, power and lighting accessories, boiler installation and furniture of Ewo Mill, and inventories of plant and machinery, motors, mill gearing, fixtures and fittings, accessories, power and lighting accessories, boiler installation, furniture and vehicles of Yangtszepoo Mill.

3. Detailed lists of furniture of Ewo Mill and Yangtszepoo Mill and an inventory of bowls, cups, plates and spoons of Yangtszepoo Mill.

4. Lists of office books and files of Ewo Mill and Yangtszepoo Mill; schedule of mill plans of Ewo Mill and Yangtszepoo Mill; reports from Spence, Robinson and Partners, architects and civil engineers, Shanghai, to Jardine, Matheson and Co. Ltd, General Managers, Ewo Cotton Mills, on Ewo Cotton Mills buildings, 19 December 1953; a report on unlisted machinery stored in 'T' Ground, Yangtszepoo Mill; a memorandum on bleaching machinery parts in 'H.1' Godown, 29 December 1953; and a list of the chops in the Manager's office.
