Accounts current kept by the main office of Jardine, Matheson & Co. and its predecessors at, successively, Canton, Macao and Hong Kong (1-64), and by the offices at Shanghai (65-100), Canton (101-106), Yokohama (107-108), and London (109-118). The majority of the volumes are comprised of general accounts, but there are also accounts devoted to specific individuals, bodies or locations, including the China coast, ships, steamers, companies and ports. The London volumes include accounts current kept with Matheson & Co.
