There have been a succession of numbering systems for General Board papers. From the mid 1960s until December 1988 papers were numbered in continuous sequence. From January 1989 to July 1999, papers were numbered by year. From the first meeting of October 1999, papers were numbered for each meeting only. Papers from October 1999 therefore are assembled in bundles by the date of the meeting at which they were presented.
This classification number was discontinued in 2002.
